Beginning January 1st, 2027, the eMed Weight Management Program enables Cardiovascular Logistics to support employees and eligible dependents (18+) with a comprehensive weight management solution, including FDA-approved GLP-1 medications. Here's how it works:

• Sign up in the eMed app and complete an at-home onboarding kit, including a blood collection.
• If you're clinically eligible based on FDA guidelines, an eMed clinician issues a prescription. If not, you'll get an email.
• Your medication is delivered to your home by eMed's partner mail order pharmacy.
• Log your weight and dosage at weekly in-app check-ins.
• Before each monthly prescription ends, complete a refill questionnaire. A clinician reviews it and coordinates your renewal.
• Every six months, you'll automatically receive a follow-up blood kit.

You must be 18 or older (and under 85), be enrolled in a Cardiovascular Logistics medical plan, and verify your identity. FDA clinical criteria also apply:

• BMI ≥30, or
• BMI ≥27 with a weight-related condition (such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, or MASH).

Transfers from another program may qualify with a BMI ≥20 after clinical review. BMI isn't considered if you've taken a GLP-1 for weight loss in the past 2 months. See the prescribing information for Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo. All prescribing decisions are made by an independent licensed eMed clinician, and meeting the criteria doesn't guarantee a prescription.

GLP-1 is a hormone made by the small intestine. (Some medications also act on a second gut hormone, GIP.) It triggers insulin release, blocks glucagon, slows stomach emptying, and increases fullness after eating. GLP-1 medications mimic this hormone, which reduces appetite and often leads to weight loss. How long people take them varies by individual.

You're welcome to join eMed and transition your care. You'll complete onboarding and lab work, and the app will ask you to upload your current prescription (medication and dosage) so an eMed clinician can review it. A new prescription is written if appropriate. If you've taken a GLP-1 in the past 2 months, BMI isn't a factor in your eligibility.

Starting January 1st, 2027, participants pay a copay of $199. Prices may change if the manufacturer’s price changes.

Starting January 1st, 2027, download the eMed app and enter code TRICALGLP to access the program and request your at-home test kit.  You will need to provide your full legal name and date of birth as they appear in Cardiovascular Logistic’s records, plus your preferred email address and shipping address.
